Care Can’t Wait National

Taking on the care crisis can create a better economy, jobs, and a better standard of living for all.

That’s why, with our partners, Caring Across Generations pushes for real investments in a sustainable, enduring care infrastructure that allows families, communities, and care workers to age, live, and work with dignity.

Through various strategies and tactics, we consistently urge Congress and the White House to pass:

• Paid family and medical leave for all
• Affordable and quality childcare for all
• Accessible home- and community-based services for older adults and disabled people
• Better pay for care workers under Medicaid and other federal care programs

On February 28, 2023, Caring Across Generations and the Care Can’t Wait coalition mobilized organizations from all pillars to deliver a petition to members of Congress signed by more than 98,000 people demanding attention on the continuing care crisis. Speakers at the press conference called for attention to all care pillars, including demanding increased funding for home- and community-based services and the care workforce.

Throughout 2023, Caring Across Generations will supercharge our efforts to recruit more caregivers and care recipients to join the care movement by taking online and in-person action with us and the coalitions we’re a part of.
