Today is National Caregivers Day, and we’re celebrating caregivers in a BIG way!
This week, we launched a campaign spotlighting the joy and beauty of caregiving, around Washington, DC and in Times Square. The month-long “Portraits of Care” campaign features photo portraits of people with disabilities, aging adults, care workers and family caregivers of diverse races, genders, abilities and ages, and shows the strength and love in the “Care Squad.” As we continue to advocate for supports for people who give and receive care on the national stage, what better way to show how essential these relationships are than by seeing and hearing from the people who know best?
Check out this video, projected near the Capitol in DC, to hear the people featured in the portraits talk about how they give and receive care, and what their care relationships mean to them.
