1 Million Care Conversations

In 2026, we’re leading an ambitious effort to shape a new vision for care in the U.S.

Why This Matters

Almost everyone will need or give care at some point in their lives – but families who care are still consistently left behind, ignored and unheard when it comes to shaping our nation’s future. Now it’s time to listen and shape a powerful new vision of what care in the U.S. could be, based on real conversations with families about what we need, what’s missing, and the future we want to build.

What We’re Doing

In collaboration with the Care Can’t Wait Coalition and other partners around the country, along with research collaborators Urban Institute and New America. we’re holding real conversations with people across the country – caregivers, older adults, disabled people, and families struggling to afford care. Whether it’s a written survey, a discussion group, or a 1:1 conversation, we’re listening to at least one million people – and we want to hear from you.
