Aisha Adkins is an advocate, storyteller, and caregiver based in Atlanta, Georgia. As graduate student and research assistant at the Georgia State University Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, she uses her talents to shed light on health inequity and diverse aging needs. She founded the online platform, Our Turn 2 Care, in 2016 to connect marginalized millennial caregivers to information, resources, and each other. Aisha is a full-time caregiver for her mother (who was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia in 2013), and will graduate with her Masters of Public Administration in the Fall of 2020. When she is not a doting daughter, ardent student, and committed change agent, she enjoys taking in classic film, live music, and nature with family and friends.
