Rebekah Azaylia Alexander, Senior Manager of Individual Giving, is a millennial caregiver from Bellerose, Queens in New York City who has been a co-caregiver to her maternal grandmother from Puerto Rico for over ten years and a primary caregiver to her mother, a young stroke victim, for the last three years. Her experience as a young caregiver while working and pursuing her graduate degree full-time has shaped her commitment to advocacy for equitable labor and healthcare policies that vastly overhaul our care infrastructure expanding access to support services for all caregivers and those in need of care. Rebekah also brings a decade of fundraising experience in higher education working with alumni, volunteers and senior leadership to secure unrestricted annual giving support and major gifts while shaping immediate and long term strategic programming targeting access to higher education for marginalized communities. She is delighted to align her love for resource development, constituency building, and caregiving advocacy in her new role.
