On Tuesday, February 3, Caring Across Generations co-director Ai-jen Poo is coming out with a new book, The Age of Dignity: Preparing for the Elder Boom in a Changing America.
To elevate the important issues she raises in the book, we are hosting an #AgeofDignity tweetchat on February 3 — and we’d love for you to join us.
WHEN: Tuesday, February 3, 2 to 3 pm ET
WHERE: On Twitter, using the hashtag #AgeofDignity
WHO: Co-hosted by Caring Across Generations (@caringacrossgen) and the National Domestic Workers Alliance (@domesticworkers) and featuring Ai-jen Poo (@aijenpoo), Sarita Gupta (@saritasgupta) as well as care workers, caregivers, policy advocates, and many others.
In The Age of Dignity, Ai-jen weaves together powerful personal stories with innovative solutions, to lay out this vision: that everyone should be able to live and age at home with dignity and care and the workforce that supports us should be able to live and work with dignity. That all of us have a stake in the creation of more care choices for families. And that our nation’s policies and priorities should reorient towards this vision as a key part of a larger vision for a more just and sustainable future.
During the tweetchat, we will be asking participants to share their own thoughts, stories, experiences, vision, and solutions for a more caring America.
We hope you can join us for the #AgeofDignity tweetchat! Please feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
